Despite Turkey and Jordan being official allies, the tension between the two countries has been heightened as a result of the refugee crisis with King Abdullah being enraged by the EU’s considerate offer of diplomatic ties and cash for restricting the numbers of refugees into continent.

King Abdullah also suggested that Jordanian special forces were part of undercover operations in Syria, however numbers of Jordanian soldiers could not be established although the nation has most definitely been involved.
